About Wine On The Tyne
We’re Sarah and Stu, the team behind Wine On The Tyne. Our journey began with a dream of growing our own produce and a rhubarb patch in our garden. Stu, inspired by his dad’s homebrew recipes, turned our homegrown rhubarb into wine. That first batch sparked our passion for craft winemaking, and Wine On The Tyne was born.
Now, as a small craft wine producer in South Tyneside, we’re committed to sustainable, community-driven winemaking. We use ingredients from our allotment, foraged locally, or sourced through our Craft Wine Exchange, where local growers can trade their produce for our wines.
Stu develops the wine recipes, while Sarah designs the labels—everything, from growing and sourcing to canning and labelling, is done by us.
Our wines are packaged in 330ml recyclable cans, perfect for picnics, festivals, camping trips, and outdoor adventures.
You can buy our wines online or find us at local markets, where we love sharing our story (and a taste!).
